NOTICE RE CITY OF SPIRIT LAKE BOULEVARD/MEDIAN CONSTRUCTION ON HILL AVENUE AND 23RD STREET RECONSTRUCTION
The contractor has indicated that work on the boulevards/medians in the center of the road north on Hill Avenue will commence on Monday, June 2. It will start at 15th and Hill Avenue and progress north approximately two blocks at a time. Residents who live on Hill Avenue will still have access to driveways and there will be workers helping to coordinate access in or out as needed. Otherwise, normal traffic will need to detour around the various areas when they are under construction. When work is ready to begin at the south end of Hill Avenue additional notice will be provided. The work on the north end of Hill is expected to take approximately three weeks.
The 23rd Street reconstruction work is expected to begin June 16. Homeowners along the affected areas between Hill Avenue and Chicago will be receiving letters from the project manager soon and additional information will be provided to the public shortly before work commences. Plan on the area between Hill Avenue and Erie being closed at that time and until mid-August, and for those who have activities at the Little League fields or want to access Aspen Seemann Memorial Park please use the entrances at the school to the school parking areas to the south of the park and the new concession stand and restrooms.
