There’s no reason to be bored in Spirit Lake! With four seasons packed with outdoor fitness activities, water sports, hunting, fishing and more, Spirit Lake offers some of the best recreational opportunities in the Midwest.
The Lakes Area offers many opportunities for individual
and group activities. The abundance of natural area
provides great settings for family picnics or exploring
wildlife. The Dickinson County Conservation Board
sponsors many events for residents. The Spirit Lake
Youth Athletic Association sponsors little league baseball
and the Lakes Area Hockey Association sponsors hockey
and ice sports activities.
While it's fun here in the summer with the visitors, the off-season is even more enjoyable with great opportunities to have fun without the crowds.
The Dickinson County Expo Building serves as a venue for many events, from flea markets to the home show and concerts. Other venues such as the Sami Center and Pearson Lakes Art Center host great musical talent in comfortable, acoustically balanced settings.
